Grandfather William Commanda is pleased to invite you
to his annual international spiritual gathering at his
home at Bitobi Lake, Kitizan Zibi Anishinabeg, Maniwaki,
Quebec.

THIS IS THE 12TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE
CIRCLE OF ALL NATIONS MILLENNIUM
GATHERING AT NEPEAN POINT!

GRANDFATHER COMMANDA IS INDEED TIRELESS!

The key themes that Grandfather advances at the Gathering, through a series of presentations and workshops, are

• Indigenous Wisdom, Respect for Mother Earth and Healing,
• Racial Harmony,
• Social Justice and
• Peace Building.

The Gathering provides opportunity for community development, networking, individual and communal healing, spiritual growth and creativity. Its key objectives are to:

• Share the wisdom, knowledge and sacred teachings of Indigenous Elders, Spiritual leaders and Medicine people
• Promote discussion on a range of topics - justice, poverty, aids, racism, spirituality, peace, leadership, healing
• Raise awareness about our relationship with Mother Earth
• Facilitate individual healing, spiritual growth and creativity
• Foster positive inter personal relationships and harmony
• Celebrate life, and build community

A special priority is the vision for ASINABKA, the Sacred Chaudière Site, including the Healing and Peace Building Centre on Victoria Island.

This year our focus is on PRECIOUS LAND AND SPECIAL POWER PLACES;
DEVELOPING THE CAN UMBRELLA (CAN U??!!)

There will also be a focussed workshop to develop a volunteer CAN Task Force for the VISION FOR THE INDIGENOUS CENTRE ON VICTORIA ISLAND AT THE SACRED CHAUDIÈRE SITE.

The daily activity plan is simple and comprehensive:

• Sunrise pipe ceremonies,
• Morning presentations by special guests,
• Afternoon workshops, sweat lodge and other healing ceremonies and creative activities,
• Late afternoon time for personal reflection,
• Evening drumming, dancing and socialization.
• On Saturday evening, all participate in a community feast, and
• on Sunday afternoon, in a traditional Giveaway Ceremony.

Grandfather encourages participants to engage in all the activities; the weekend is an unprecedented blueprint for experiencing the timeless wisdom of the Sacred Medicine Wheel, with extraordinary opportunity for emotional, physical, spiritual and mental development.

The Gathering is a very special event that engenders a spirit of generosity and generates harmony, peace and unity.

• August 5, 6, & 7, commencing at sunrise on Friday, and closing on Sunday afternoon
• Camp set up commences on Thursday

Location

• Grandfather Commanda's residence, 231 Pitobig Mikan, Kitigan Zibi Anishinabeg, Maniwaki, Quebec, J9E 3B1.
• Camping space is available; there are also hotels and motels in town.
• Please bring your own tents, sleeping bags, personal supplies, equipment and food.
• There are outdoor toilet facilities and bathing at the lakeshore shower

Ceremonies

Please respect the expectations of the Fire Keeper, Elders, Lodge Keepers, ceremonial leaders and security, with respect to individual protocols - tobacco offerings, dress (especially for the sweat lodges: cotton, long gowns or loose cotton skirts and t-shirts for women, shorts for men), moon cycles, etc.

Considerations

• PLEASE: NO DRUGS; NO ALCOHOL; NO PETS.
• This in an indigenous spiritual gathering, rather than a camping outing, and ALL ARE ASKED TO DRESS WITH RESPECT AND DECORUM THROUGHOUT.
• Please take special care with dress, noise and conduct in the area designated for the sacred ceremonies - East of Grandfather's home
• Children are welcome and some activities are organized for them; however, THERE IS NO BABYSITTING, AND PARENTS ARE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES.
• NO BOATING is permitted.
• NO SWIMMING into the lake is permitted;
• PARENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN AT THE WATER'S EDGE.
• Donations for the Giveaway and Community Feast are welcomed.
• Please be respectful of the communities at Kitign Zibi Anishnabeg and Maniwaki

Volunteers

• Grandfather Commanda hosts this Gathering in its entirety; his friends volunteer to prepare for the Gathering and to clean up afterwards, and to take care of most needs during the Gathering.
• ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED THROUGHOUT THE GATHERING to help with security duties, food preparation and cleanup, assisting elders, facilities cleanup etc. Please be generous with your support: sign up on the Volunteer List in the Communications Booth upon registration.

Directions

From Ottawa and points South:

• Go North to Maniwaki
• As you approach Maniwaki and enter the 50 km per hour zone you will see a flashing traffic light in front of a Freshmart Grocery store on the right.
• There is a "T" shaped intersection there, turn left, go down that road, cross a small bridge and continue past a sharp curve until you come to another "T" shaped intersection located just before a children's playground equipped with colourful plastic slides and castle like structures.
• There is a stop sign there, make your stop and turn left.
• Stay on that road for approximately 4 kilometres.
• You will see the Gathering grounds on your left as you drive along a lake on your left.

From Montreal and points East:

• It is much shorter to come through Grand Remous.
• Approximately 20 KM past Mont Laurier, there is a small town called Grand Remous.
• Just past the town bridge, there is a flashing traffic light indicating the intersection to Maniwaki.
• Turn left to go to Maniwaki.
• Drive South through Maniwaki until you get to a flashing traffic light in front of a Freshmart grocery store.
• Turn right at that intersection, go down that road, cross a small bridge and continue past a sharp curve until you come to another "T" shaped intersection located just before a children's playground equipped with colourful plastic slides and castle like structures.
• There is a stop sign there, make your stop and turn left.
• Stay on that road for approximately 4 kilometres.
• You will see the Gathering grounds on you left as you drive along a lake on your left.

From points West:

• It is shortest to come through Pembrook and cross the Ottawa River to the Province of Quebec.
• Follow direction to Cambell's Bay and from there turn North West to Kazabazua.
• From Kazabazua, turn left to Maniwaki.
• As you approach Maniwaki and enter the 50 km per hour zone you will traffic light in front of a Freshmart Grocery store on the right.
• There is a "T" shaped intersection there ,turn left, go down that road, cross a small bridge and continue past a sharp curve until you come to another "T" shaped intersection located just before a children's playground equipped with colourful plastic slides and castle like structures.

*Circle of All Nations volunteers and other interested parties will be coordinating small talking circles on various topics of interest: Asinabka, The Sacred Chaudière Site, including the Victoria Island Healing Centre Project, Circle of All Nations, Water Stewardship; women's issues; French talking circle; conflict resolution; nutrition; health, environmental issues etc. Participants are encouraged to participate, share or coordinate circles on topics of interest to themselves and others on the grounds. You are requested to communicate your interest in this regard to volunteers at the communications booth upon registration.

Grand-Père William Commanda est heureux de vous inviter
à sa rencontre internationale annuelle à sa résidence du lac
Bitobi, Kitigan Zibi Anishnabeg, Maniwaki, Québec.
Saviez vous que la première rencontre eu lieu au lac
Bitobi en 1969 - Il y a 42 ans!
Et que ce sera le 12 anniversaire de la
rencontre du projet Cercle de toutes les nations du
millenium à la pointe Napean!
Grand-Père Commanda est vraiment inépuisable!
Les objectif clefs que Grand-Père propose a cette rencontre
par une série de présentations et ateliers de réflexions
sont:
I. Sagesse des premières nations, respect de la Terre
mère et guérison.
II. Harmonie raciale.
III. Justice sociale
IV. Et construction d’une paix durable.
L’objectif principale pour l’année 2010 est:
Transformation d'energie!
Venez préparé à partager vos propre raisons pour
lesquelles cette rencontre est importante pour vous
car nous aimerions documenter la véritable nature
de cette expérience transformationnelle et nous
avons besoin de vous pour le faire!
La rencontre facilitera les discussions sur le développement
communautaire, la mise en réseau, individuelle et
communautaire des programmes de guérison, de
croissance spirituelle et de développement de la créativité.
Ses principaux objectifs sont:
I. Le partage de la sagesse, des connaissances et
enseignements sacrés des anciens, des chefs spirituels
des personnes et de la médecine.
II. Promouvoir la discussion sur un éventail de sujets - la
justice, la pauvreté, le sida, le racisme, la spiritualité, la
paix, le leadership, la guérison.
III.Sensibilisation à notre relation avec la Terre-Mère.
IV.Faciliter la guérison individuelle, la croissance spirituelle
et de la créativité.
V. Favoriser les relations interpersonnelles positives et
l'harmonie.
VI.Célébrer la vie, et construire la communauté.
Une priorité spéciale sera donnée à la vision de
ASINABKA, le site Sacré-Chaudière, comprenant le
centre de la guérison et de la consolidation de la paix
sur l'île Victoria.

Le plan des activités quotidiennes est simple et complet:
I. Cérémonies lever du soleil et du calumet,
II. Matinée présentations par des invités spéciaux et des
participants,
III.Après-midi des ateliers, tentes de sudation et d'autres
cérémonies de guérison et d'activités créatives,
IV.Fin d'après-midi le temps de réflexion personnelle,
V. Soirée de tambour, de danse et de la socialisation.
Le samedi soir, tous participent à un festin communautaire,
et le dimanche après-midi, à une cérémonie traditionnelle
Giveaway.
Grand-Père encourage les participants à s'engager dans
toutes les activités, le week-end est un plan sans
précédent de l'expérience de l'éternelle sagesse de la roue
de médecine sacrée, avec une extraordinaire occasion pour
le développement affectif, physique, spirituel et mental.
La rencontre est un événement très spécial qui engendre
l’esprit de générosité et génère l'harmonie, la paix et
l'unité.

5, 6, et 7 août 2011, début au lever du soleil le
vendredi, clôture le dimanche après-midi,
l'établissement du campement débute le jeudi.
Endroit :
À la résidence de Grand-Père Commanda, 231 Pitobig
Mikan, Réserve de Kitigan Zibi, Maniwaki, Québec.
Espaces de camping disponibles; possibilité d'hôtels et
motels en ville.
Prière d'apporter sa tente, sac de couchage, effets
personnels, ustensiles et nourriture.
Toilettes extérieures sur place et douches sur la rive du lac.

Stationnement – stationnement réservé le long de la route
Camping – au Nord des maisons, le long de la route
Sécurité – à l'entrée et sur le site
Enregistrement et service de communications – à côté de
la boutique de Grand-Père
Restauration – Kiosques à côté de la boutique de Grand-

Cuisine, salle à manger des Anciens – nord de la maison de
Grand-Père
Cérémonies des Loges à sudation – à l'Est de la maison de
Grand-Père
Feu sacré, Cérémonies du lever de soleil, méditation – à la
Pointe sacrée
Présentations du matin – Chapiteau sur le bord du lac
Activités pour les enfants, tambours et partage de cadeaux
autour du chapiteau.
Cérémonies :
Merci de respecter les conseils et attentes du Gardien du
Feu, des Aînés, des Gardiens de Loges, des Chefs de
cérémonies et de la sécurité, avec un respect pour le
protocole – offrande de tabac, robes (spécialement pour les
Loges à sudation : en coton, longues robes ou jupes larges
et t-shirts pour les femmes, shorts pour hommes),
périodes des Lunes (cycles menstruels) etc…

Ceci est un Rassemblement spirituel autochtone et chacun
est tenu de s'habiller avec bienséance.
Apportez une attention toute particulière à votre
habillement, au bruit et à votre conduite dans l'espace
réservé aux cérémonies sacrées – à l'Est de la maison de
Grand-Père
Les enfants sont la bienvenue et des activités leur sont
proposées, mais veuillez prendre note que les parents
en sont entièrement responsables de leurs enfants
en tout temps et qu'aucun service de garderie n'est
disponible.
Baignade et nautisme ne sont pas permis.
Les parents sont responsables de leurs enfants près
des plans d’eau.
Les dons pour le Festin communautaire les bénévoles et
pour le partage de présents sont appréciés.
S’il vous plaît, soyez respectueux des communautés de
Kitigan Zibi et de Maniwaki.
Volontaires :
Grand-Père Commanda organise ce rassemblement
dans son intégralité; ses amis se portent volontaires pour
les préparatifs du Rassemblement, le nettoyage après
l'événement et pour prendre soin de la plupart des besoins
durant le Rassemblement.

approchez de Maniwaki et entrez dans la zone de 50 km à
l'heure vous verrez un feu de circulation devant l’épicerie
"Freshmart" Tournez à gauche sur Paganakomin Mikan.
À partir de Montréal et les régions à l'Est :
Il est plus court de passer par Grand Remous.
Environ 20 kilomètres après Mont Laurier vous arrivez à un
petit village appelé Grand Remous
Juste après le pont du village un feu de signalisation
clignotant indique l'intersection pour Maniwaki
Tournez à gauche sur la 105 sud vers Maniwaki.
À la sortie sud de Maniwaki vous verrez un feu de
circulation devant l’épicerie "Freshmart" Tournez à gauche
sur Paganakomin Mikan.
À partir des régions à l'Ouest :
Il est plus court de passer par Pembrook et de traverser la
Rivière Outtawais vers la Province de Québec.
Suivez la 148 jusqu’à Campbell's Bay , tournez au Nord
Est sur la 301 vers Kazabazua.
De Kazabazua tournez à gauche sur la 105 nord vers
Maniwaki.
Lorsque vous approchez de Maniwaki et entrez dans la
zone de 50 km à l'heure vous verrez un feu de circulation
devant l’épicerie "Freshmart" Tournez à gauche sur
Paganakomin Mikan.
Descendez Paganakomin Mikan, traversez un petit pont et
continuez après un virage serré jusqu'à une intersection en
forme de "T" située juste avant un terrain de jeux pour
enfants équipé de glissades colorées en plastique et de
structures en forme de châteaux.
Il y a un signal d’arrêt, tournez à gauche.
Continuez sur cette route environ 4 kilomètres
Vous apercevrez à votre gauche le terrain du
Rassemblement longeant le bord du lac à gauche.
La majorité des participants campent sur le site.
Des hôtels et restaurants sont toutefois disponibles à
Maniwaki.

* Les bénévoles du 'Cercle de Toutes les Nations' et toutes les autres

qui concerne une variété de sujets intéressants tels que le Projet du
centre de guérison à l'île Victoria, Le Cercle de Toutes les Nations, Les
droits des femmes; un petit cercle de discussion en français; la
résolution de conflit, la nutrition, la santé.
Les participant(e)s sont encouragé(e)s à participer, à partager ou à
animer les cercles de discussion au sujets d'intérêt commun. Vous êtes
invité(e)s à nous informer en vous présentant aux bénévoles du kiosque
des communications pendant registration.
